https://catholicexchange.com/how-to-receive-holy-communion-to-the-fullest?mc_cid=bdc4d6d931&mc_eid=1ea4a385a2 Excerpt: Common Priesthood of the Faithful: Live Out the Offertory If you have a chance, view the movie The Greatest Miracle or El Gran Milagro (in both English and Spanish). This movie, in a clear, appealing, and dynamic fashion explains the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass by means of claymation. All done in 70 minutes. Among the themes worthy of highest praise is the presentation of how the Guardian Angel teaches the importance of living out the Mass by means of participating fully, actively, and consciously in the Offertory of the Mass. By this, the priest offers the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, but the faithful who participate in the Mass are called to make their own offering in the Mass—called the Offertory! This is done by making a spiritual offering of oneself and placing it on the altar, placing it on the paten where the priest’s Host is deposited which will become the Precious Body of Jesus. Also, one is called to place one’s intentions in the chalice where the wine will be transformed into the Precious Blood of Jesus. If done seriously, your Communions will have infinite value and efficacy for you, the Church, and the whole world, even the souls in Purgatory!

    Old Broken Rosaries... Re-Used?

@CatherineM I fix a lot of the broken rosaries that I get. Some, unfortunately, are too broken so I turn the parts into jewelry. I have to admit that I have a huge collection of gorgeous rosaries, most are ones I fixed- some from my childhood and some passed down as well. Do you sell the rosaries you fix? I would love to see some!

I use recycled centres and crucifix’s from broken rosaries to make new ones.

    Quotations that Motivate & Inspire

HYMN (From Morning Prayer) Now that the daylight fills the sky We lift our hearts to God on high, That He, in all we do or say, Would keep us free from harm today: Would guard our hearts and tongues from strife; From anger's din would hide our life; From evil sights would turn our eyes; Would close our ears to vanities. So we, when this new day is gone and night in turn is drawing on, With conscience by the world unstained Shall praise His name for vict'ry gained. To God the Father and the Son And Holy Spirit, three in one, Be endless glory as before The world began, so evermore. Amen. It is certain that God cannot, will not, never did, reject a charitable man in his greatest need and in his most passionate prayers; for God himself is love, and every degree of charity that dwells in us is the participation of the Divine Nature. - Jeremy Taylor (From Dominican Sisters of Peace)

    Boyfriend calling to Priesthood

I don't know, the author just seems to kinda come off rather unapproving on religious vocation and vocation to the priesthood… and just because someone is discerning doesn't mean that "they are just not into you." I think it's a rather delicate situation for both involved. And let's not forget about women discerning… That is tough as well. I think I could cry if my gf, if I had one said she was discerning. But I would ultimately be happy because she has certainly chosen the better (obvious understatement) man. The God-Man.

Celestial bling--- clever name and clever way of using broken rosaries.

    Old Broken Rosaries... Re-Used?

I make religious jewelry out of broken rosaries and other vintage religious jewelry and findings with the hope it will bring the faithful comfort and joy when they wear it. I also hope that it will bring the wearer who is not religious closer to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I pray over each broken rosary I use that such would be the case. I also hope that the faithful feels empowered by wearing religious jewelry that I, or anyone else, makes. Is this wrong? You can look at my jewelry and see if you think it's not appropriate as jewelry at www.etsy.com/shop/Celestialbling Diane

    Convents With The Latin Mass

I was a postulant at Valley of Our Lady; they do not have the Traditional Latin Mass as they rely on diocesan priests to say their mass. So, they get what they get. They do, however, chant the office and the propers for the Mass in Latin. Sometimes they have the NO in latin.

Someone Who Doesn't Know What They Want In Life

You, my friend, should consider seeking some counseling and affirmation. A parent and homeowner before 21 is not “drifting”. I fear you suffer to a great degree what I’ve recognized in myself, at times. You don’t appreciate who you ARE now! You don’t have to matter to the world as a consumer or employee. You already matter greatly to your spouse and child. Enjoy and revel in their love for YOU. A job only buys groceries, not self worth.
