Ok so I'm at my work(Chick-fil-A) and one of the girls their was wering these black bands around her wrist and I noticed a celtic cross and some beads tattoed comeing off around the band. So I was curiouse and was like hey, what kind of tatto is that. She was like it's a celtic rosary, and I was like WOW. I asked if she was Catholic and she said she wasn't and was like ok. She said she just really liked rosarys. So I think next time I see her I will tell her what they mean.
But what do you think about getting religouse tattos like that. Myself becoming a priest I wanted to get the cool Mary symbotl it's like a W and a v together I still have to find it, but I wanted to get that on back and say that I was "branded to Mary" and then get like the triquenta symbol on the top middle of my back and a fusion of the sacred and immaculate heart on the other side of my back. But I don't know. Tattos are they considered a malice of our temple, or can we decorate :cans:

I think tattoos are a great way to express ourselves without ever saying a word. We should take just as much advantage of this opportunity as those who display coarse and offensive messages. It should definitely be stooped before becoming a giant parlor album, though. I'm planning on getting some religious tattoos in the hopefully not-too-distant future.

i think that tatoos are ok if they're small or not too many of them. i don't think i'll ever get one, though.
But if I were going to get one, I'd think about it a lot and ask myself if i want this on my body for the rest of my life. If you're absolutely sure, then why not.

I have seriously contemplated getting a rosary around my ankle.
I haven't budged yet, though. It's so... permanent. I'm 27 and I'm starting to feel like maybe I'd be too old to get one.
That and I'm trying to save up the money to go to graduate school instead. :weep:

the disclaimer on my tattoo post is that they are very very expencive!
my getting a tattoo boils down to me feeling bad for spending $100+ on a "decoration" for my "temple" when there are people who are more needy than i am.

Here is a pic of mine. I love religous tats, cause it lets you share your faith, cause people always ask.
