Putting aside the controversy surrounding the apparition of Our Lady of La Salette and the nature of the secrets, I would like to share the recently found Rule of La Salette which was disclosed to Melanie from Mary during one of the apparitions in 1846. A Frenchman found it in the Vatican archives in 1999 while he was doing research for his book.

It is worth a look by anyone regardless of interest in the priesthood or religious life. It is edifying in its simplicity and beauty. Here is a website with several translations:

A couple of things to note. One in spite of few attempts by Melanie and others including a 'Blessed' the order has yet to be firmly established anywhere. In spite of this I still think one day it will be firmly established, perhaps after the first part of the Tribulation or End Times occur. I think it will be one of the prominent orders to flourish during the difficulties of the End Times, and no offense intended, but I think several religious orders will merge into this one or perhaps they will adjust their rule to this one.

I realize I am making some speculations about prophecies and the future, etc. (it is my nature, I've spent a lot of time studying eschatology), yet there is also another religious order predicted by Saint Francis Paola which will be established by this figure known as the Great Catholic Monarch. The Great Catholic Monarch is a figure who will have many important and lofty tasks during the first part of the End Times. Perhaps his order will in some way be related to this Rule of La Salette although St. Francis prophecies that the Great Monarch's order will be composed of three branches: military, priestly, and medical whereas the La Salette order is supposed to be composed of missionary priests, male religious to support the missionaries and the female equivalent of the male religious.

The priestly/male relgious branch is to be called Order of the Apostles of the Last Days, and the female branch Order of the Mother of God.

I'm not sure if these orders will ever take up those names Mary originally desired, perhaps the order will appear under a different name.
