Inspired by ospapientia's mention of a Carthusian donate, I was reminded of reading the Carthusian constitutions, to be found at their website in five books: one, two, three, four, five (don't worry, they're not really 'book" length at all).
The fifth book is especially fangirl-prone, it deals with the rituals around entrance to the noviciate and profession, etc. Beautiful!
When reading Rules and Constitutions like this, of old orders who have taken the time to find out what works, I am always struck by the common sense pervading all of it. The Rule of St. Benedict is of course famous for this, but I like reading them all really :)
