I am in desperate need of some resources online that I can direct people to in order for them to receive a good explanation of cloistered contemplatives or even consecrated life in general.

I thought: Vita Consecrata and Verbi Sponsa, but I want something simple and that is very easy to understand, however accurate, and not intimidating. And as wonderful as Vita Consecrata and Verbi Sponsa is (and I may still use them), it is not cutting it in its simplicity.

I want something too that will be simple and easy to understand for Protestants.

I am looking for a blog entry from a girl who went off to join religious life. It had a beautiful meditation she had written about Magdalene, I think... although I can't remember. I wish I could be more help. I have looked everywhere myself and nothing. It wasn't posted that long ago... less than a year, I believe. I think she joined the Passionists, but I can't remember and could be totally wrong.

I believe she placed herself in the person of Magdalene, but I can't remember. If you know, please post. You will be my hero and I will say a Hail Mary for the person who finds it!
