Convince me why I should or shouldn't go to a College Seminary.

Rev, i think St. Peter said it best in Acts 5:29.
"We must obey God rather than men."

I wouldn't dream of convincing anyone to go to the seminary. That's between them and Jesus. I encourage people to discern deeply and offer any support i can, but ultimately it's not my place to exert my will upon yours. That's God's job.

If you were called to Marriage, and i convinced you to enter seminary (or vice versa), i'd have to answer for that on the Day of Wrath.

The first question to answer is "Is Jesus calling me to serve Him as a priest?"
Nobody's ever 100% sure, but if you can answer at least to the point of saying "Yes, I suspect He is." then the decision of minor seminary .vs. university comes up.

I was going to go to the University of Iowa and get my BA and then consider the priesthood but as I thought more and more about it I didnt want lose my vocation by living the college life at U of I and get in a serious relationship with a girl so I decided to go right into college seminary, a decision that to this day I do not regret.

That statement says to me that maybe you should not enter the seminary just yet. Keep listening for God's will, not Eddie's, not your parents, not the bishop's will.

Well, I have been told my diocesean priests not to enter College seminary, and yet College seminairans tell me if I am considering the priesthood, (Which I believe is the only option for me) then go to the college seminary.

This is the reason.
