Please pray for me, I think I might be called to enter the Norbertines.

Pray for my discernment, and my future meetings and lunches with Vocations Director, Fr. Jim O. Praem.

Thanks,

Eddie

Update: Upon further research I believe that the Norbertines for the lack of a better word, to liberal.
I continue to research this, and feel the Legion of Christ is the solid orthadoxy I am looking for.

AHHHH The Rev!!!! You must have checked out the Norbertiens in Minnesota or Iowa or some place like that...

Check out the Norbertines in Orange County, CA... They are probably the most Orthodox / Traditional Order I know. Also they wear the 'Popes clerics'... Actually the Pope wears theirs, but it's all good. The also carry a gun (I believe) ...there is some Tradition behind this but I am not sure what it is.

PS - Don't rule out a whole Order just because of ONE community... There are poor communities in ever Order, yes even the Legion of Christ has poor communities. What you should do is read about the founders and what they had in mind for the first community/monastery and find one that fits you (God is calling you too.) then find a community that fits your soul. Don't go straight for the Community, if you do this you are shooting blind. You have to go to the roots!
