Out of people that went to my old parish youth group two have entered religious orders. One of them being me. My friend (who is my age as well) has joined one.
But i don't know if any others are experiencing this. And i don't mean to say it is some kind of trend, because our youth group ain't know joke. The teens took the initiative to start praying the rosary together without permission from the youth group adult coordinators.
But anyways i decided to stay volunteering with the parish right until the end, with vocation promotion in mind. We did one youth night about vocation, and i offered to give a testimony, as someone entering.
And of course there are a couple kids in the youth group who i think would make promising priests and/or religious. I don't know but somehow i think God has given me a joy over this calling that spilled over into a couple more.
Before this night, there was one girl, confident she has a vocation. Then after we went to the Steubenville youth conference, one of the guys admitted he was thinking of vocations. I had also told one of the girls that i think she would make a good sister. And another girl took the initiative herself to visit the Carmelite convent down the street.
But i just hope to offer hope that there many more young people want to give themselves entirely to Christ, and are open to such an adventure.

Augustinian Frairs... I am a prenovice right now. Basically that is equivalent to a Postulant.

I think we can thank John Paul the Great for reintroducing the trend of following God's will. It's something the world seems to have forgotten for so long.

I think Eddie is looking for a website for the order MC's entering...

i think that part of it has to do with JPII. Another part i think is an awakening of the heart. The whole world as it is shaken by the "modern" way of doing things leads people to look inside themselves and seek for a higher truth that will nto change with every scientific discovery/etc.

I think it will be a growing attitude in the coming years.

I do hope and pray for many vocations in the coming years.
