WOW, i dont know how many times I have been wanting to be in a religious community. This is one of many struggles i have right now being out of high school. Work is interesting everyday, I try to keep myself busy by cleaning up after people, ringing them up, walking aorudn in my dept. praying the rosary, talking and haveing fun with different associates, and even getting coffe spilled on me, 2 times so far. the coffee is a new "fregrance" i am trying out!!!!! So far, i like it!!!!! LOL!!!!!

Last night I was at youth group, one of many activites i have in the church. I foudn out that i have to get my pic taken for the directory, but i'm not a member fo the parish, i have been invilved in that parish for 3 yrs now, so should I join that parish????

the other thing of course is my discernment. I have been desiring to enter the religious life for so long, that its all i can think about and its my strength or my goal!!!!!! i foudna community in may and asked to enter into, but sof ar noting hs happened. I keep thinking about St. therese and even thiking about taking to Bishop Jenky or the mother general of the community. But a Sister told me last night, Dont make a decision too soon. Again what should i do????

I have several names from various people, my real name is nicole, i got by Sixtina, sometimes Sixtina nicolette, and then a few people including relgiious call me Michelle. i foudn out last night Michelle means, "who is like God?" I dont know and I didnt really understand it but i think i do know about thinking about it during mass. Could I change my name??? LOL!!!!!!!!

the last thing....I hope!!!!! I found a community that has an apostolate of everything that i do right now in my on life, i teach CCD, youth group board member, I organize retreats, I help out with retreats, and I just love to teach and be with the elderly. They have an apsirancy stage. Should i ask to make an Apsirancy??? I have only beent laking to their Sisters for almsot a week now and so far I liek them very much!!! What soudl i do???

here is a pic with the sisters that i requested to enter inot but so far nothing but I havent given up hope!!!! They came from Cali and Wisconsin to visit me for 4 hrs!!!!!!!! I hada great time getting to know them. We got this pic right before they left!!!!!!!!!!

Chill out!! You should calm down a little- there's should be no rush to enter the religious life (although I understand your joyful anxiousness!). Also, do not get so enamored with the religious life that you lose sight of why the life is so awesome, namely, b/c it revolves around Life Himself, Jesus Christ. So talk to Him a lot, read about Him, think about Him and what He says. Spending time with Him clears a lot of things up and lets you focus on Love, which is the goal of the religious life (and the Christian life in general). Pray the rosary as often as you can and really think about the mysteries- why, how, what, when, etc. Our Lady will def lead you to Him. It will also help focus your mind on Him and the important things.

The above answer I think is perfect. I am jealous I couldn't have said it any better. I want to add though to what was said about "why the life is so awesome."

With any sort of life that we live our first call is TO BE and then TO DO.
Our DOING comes out of our BEING. We are called to be friends with God. We express how we love Him thru what we do.

But the love must be there first, otherwise you stand a great chance of burning out and quitting. And this isn't the religious life this applies to any life.

thanks guys, it just that see the Sisters and wish i couldbe there with them or be apart of that life. But there is no hurry but I just dont seem happy enough in my life right now. I'm completely happy doing the lord's Work and NOT my own!!!!!!!!!!

OH!!!! YOu dont know how much that make sme feel specail....for once but makes me really happy. What have I said that inspires and encopurages you so much??? Just cuorious!!!! I'm very happy to be with phatmass and this is one place where I can find the support I need in things that i dont get much support in!!!!! But today after work, i went to adoration for 20 minutes or so, then i walked around and lookea the sky, the animals, the people and jsut everything and i couldnt help but smile. Each time i go on a walk on the area that do this in, I come back to my car with a smile on my face!!!!! how awesome si that???

If it is from Jesus, it takes time.

Give him your constant attention and prayer. Then after that, think about religious life. (The thoughts will come in and out, but i wouldn't seriously consider it until i spent a while in prayer.)

Though Love for Jesus is awesome.
