Hey guys,

Within the next three weeks I will be visiting a seminary, the eastern Dominicans, and going on a weekend retreat. I would just like to ask for some prayers during this time. Based on what I conclude, it will decide where I will be heading next semester.

Also, if you have any prayers for your own vocations or just prayer intentions feel free to put them down. I would love to help any of you out in that way.

(Ill be sure to take lotsa pictures of all the cool things that happen)

Cool! Prayers for your discernment.

Pray for my vocation! I get so disheartened because I want to be an active sister because I want to be a presence of God in the world... But it's so hard to find orthodox communities... (it'd be nice if they had habits too. Real ones, I mean.)

Prayers for you both! zunshynn have you checked out the dominicans??

Many prayers for your trip! I love the Dominicans (hoping to be one someday) and the friars are great! All of them that I've known are reverent, funny, genuine guys. And remember if you enter with them, you'll always have the Dominican nuns praying for you, it's part of their charism!

You are the first on my list so far. As for orders, check out the "Dominicans Sisters of Ann Arbor Michigan", "The Nashville Dominicans", and the "Sisters of Life".

All are very active and very orthodox. There are quite a bit more too but I do not recall the names. Maybe someone else with more knowledge on the subject could help with that.

Susan
There are the Capuchin Sisters of Nazareth in PA. They aren't well known but they are very good. Capuchin Sisters Webpage

Also, the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in MA. They DO have the approval of their bishop. Their web is: www.saintbenedict.com Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Or, go to www.religiouslife.org and they have a good page of communities which are all traditional and orthodox.

God bless you!

I am sure Our Lord will speak to you on the retreat. I hope he says for you to become a Dominican (haha, I love Dominicans- God willing I'll become a Dominican nun). I'm praying for you!
