Before I say more, here is an article about their newest (and third member): New Sister (Sisters in Jesus the Lord)
From what I gathered from their website which can be seen at Sisters in Jesus The Lord, they are fairly new. I am not too sure about their history, but it seems that they primarily work with Russian Orphans in Russia. But I thought this excerpt from their site was cool:
"Like the early canonesses, the Sisters in Jesus the Lord seek to be a presence in parishes by solemnly chanting the liturgy of the hours with the people.
Each sister, in consultation with her community, will choose a work in accordance with her gifts. Some will work in liturgy and music or catechesis, others will be teachers, nurses, doctors, others will do pro-life work such as counseling pregnant mothers or women struggling with post-abortion healing, still others will promote the use of the media in their evangelization.
Those sisters called to a life devoted to contemplation as their main work, will help the work of evangelization through their life of prayer and penance. By also keeping a prayerful presence of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the parish church they will teach without words the essential importance of the Blessed Sacrament.
As the association grows, so will its ministries."

Current Ministries
At this early stage the Sisters in Jesus the Lord, with the help of many lay volunteers at this early stage, are the doing the following works:
Liturgy and Music. We are committed to beautiful music for the Roman Catholic liturgy. We are currently singing and reciting the Divine Office in English, seeking melodies that complement the text. In accordance with the new General Instruction of the Roman Missal, we are also dedicated to work with parishes towards familiarity with basic Latin chants and responses.
Pro-life Work. The Sisters of Jesus the Lord are unequivocally pro-life, embracing the Church’s teaching against contraception and promoting the dignity of all human life from natural conception to natural death. We pray every day for the closing of local abortion clinics. We distribute literature with pro-life themes, work with various pro-life groups, including post-abortion healing, and encourage laypersons to participate in the political process to change legislation that supports the culture of death.
Ave Media. Ave Media is a company that produces Catholic videos. These are distributed to cable-access stations and are also available for individual purchase. This company is dedicated to being faithful to the Magisterium of the Church. Already airing are two series of videos: one on the basic teachings of the Catholic Church, and one on topics helpful to home schooling families. Ave Media also has one ongoing interview program, “Alive,” which has a pro-life theme, as well as other shows on a variety of topics discussing the issues of our time. Future plans include use of the internet, radio, and print media.
Home Visiting with the Legion of Mary. Home visiting puts a face on the Catholic Church. Sometimes all that is needed to begin the process of conversion is an invitation to the local parish and its program.
Promoting Stewardship of the Land. In raising or purchasing food, we give support to organic farmers. These farmers, through their sacrifices and hard work, produce food without using chemicals, pesticides, or preservatives, so as to help preserve God's creation and the health of the consumer.
It seems as if this community has a strong future and I wanted to share with everyone because well, you never know who may see it and say "that is the community I have been searching for, I would like to learn more!"
So, I certainly hope everyone at least checks them out! I love supporting newer communities!
Let me know what you think. They seem to be REALLLLY COOL!
