Folks:

I have a question: Can someone who is in debt or have financial problems be accepted as a seminarian? Do dioceses allow those with financial problems to be admitted as seminarians? Can they turn away prospective seminarians due to financial troubles?

Pray for me!

Another Christopher!!!

Depends on the diocese, or order, in question.

Most likely though, you will have to be at least broke (and they said aimin' for broke was a bad thing) before entering seminary.

Check out these two links to see if they can help, in addition to local Serra Clubs and parishes. The KofC might be able to help as well.

The KofC is usually great about helping the sems out with financial trouble. Give them a ring. happy.gif
