I told my mom about a week ago I want to become a nun. Her reaction wasn't great. She told me every bad situation (of s entering the religious life) she has ever heard about! But she said she wouldn't forbid me and I should pray about it.
Now she seems to have accepted it. She is even pointing out orthodox orders for me to think about!

I'm looking at teaching orders or ones that run orphanages. I don't have much of an idea. One order I think is really cool is the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Healing Love, ther's a thread about them somewhere.
I posted a thread recently, too. They have job opportunities right now for young women discerning religious life. I'm not sure how old you are, but if you are of age, it might be a good opportunity to discern with them.
