this year of postulancy has truly flown by.... but it was great and truly spiritually edifying..

You guys have white habits that look an awful like the Augustinian white habit. it could be one of the reasons why OSA went to black.

Any order that follows the Rule of St. Augustine can wear the white habit and black veil. We see this not only with the Mercedarians, but also with the Norbertines, Dominicans, the Refuge, and Good Shepherd.
And the reason why the Pope wears a white simar is based on Pope St. Pius V--he was a Dominican.
