Dear Everybody,

I beg for your prayers as I start theology classes on Monday. I will be taking Incarnational Theology, Themes of the Hebrew Scrptures and Catholic Social Teaching. I never went to catholic school before, so all of this is new to me. Please keep me in your prayers.

On a side note I wanted to tell you all that I made my veils but almost died in the process. They hemming was so hard! My poor fingers hurt but I'm happy! I made them myself!!!

My prayers will be with you. I took Catholic Social thought/teaching in the fall last year. It was good but hard because of all the reading. A great prayer by Aquinas that my pofs start each class with is

" Grant oh merciful God

Prayers for you! Best of luck with those classes! Are you taking them at a university or is someone coming to your community to teach you?

I'm actually going to the University of the Incarnate Word...for three weeks and then I come home to the novitiate...this will be when I learn at home and probably after novitiate I will complete studies...

Helga, You have my prayers as you start your studies. I didn't go to parochial school either, so I hear you when you say that's all new. It is a new world, taking theology classes! (I took mine way back when )

I'm also excited for you as your investiture draws near, although I'm sorry your fingers are sore. I bet that it gives you a feeling of accomplishment though!

It does...I'm glad to hear from you. Please pray for Sister Nancy Johnson, IWBS who died today at 2:45 p.m. Sr. Nancy was my scripture professor. She suffered a long illness and she used to teach me while she was bedridden (sp?)...May God hold Sr. Nancy very closely...
