Are you looking for one for the whole U.S.? You might try asking someone from an order close to you first. Also, your parish office might know something. I know I found a blue book at my church for orders in our diocese.

Check your local used bookstore first! For some reason, I'm always seeing copies of that for 1-2$. I'd also be glad to mail you a copy for free since you've done so much for your PM sisters!

drool.gif Yeah,I have that book. Also the Catholic Almanac by Our Sunday Visitor also lists communities.

You know,it would be really neat if someone did the following:
An Encyclopedia of Catholic Orders World Wide.
This set of books would list orders in various catholic countries,Like Europe,America,South America,Phillipines,etc.It would focus on countries that have large catholic populations mainly.
It would be in english and maybe have something about the orders and addresses as well.maybe even a volume with just photos of the habits of various communities.
It would give the orders names in English,and then below it in French,Italian etc. whatever the community's country of origen.

re Guide to Religious Ministries:

additional info;

it is undated every year. It includes lay ministry, oblates, and secular institutes.

What is "unorthodox" about communities advertising in VISION?
