So I randomly found the typical weekday schedule of a Carthusian monk/brother/nun. I don't think I'm called to something like that, but it is definately an amazing, holy life. If you want to check it out:

It is certainly an interesting way of life, but one I would never ever consider. I am sure it takes a very strong person indeed to try this lifestyle. Much too intense for this lady!

I couldn't do it either, but just because I am called to a more apostolic vocation. It is definately a big sacrifice, but I think if its your vocation, then God will give you the Grace to live it out well.

Carthusians are pretty cool, I considered them for a little while, but its not my calling.

Oooooh, the Carthusians are awesome. I really like them! I think that is would be a very beautiful vocation, albeit a really hard one! What a grace!

I think it's so important that we recognise them though, because it is probably their prayers, and the prayers of all the different monastic orders, that are what keeps the world from perishing. The world has gone crazy, but these hidden pray-ers keep us from totally annihilating ourselves. (not too be negative or anything, but mankind are pretty stupid!)
