lately I have been wondering what my vocation is. I know that I have the vocations of being a son to my parents and in a few weeks will have the vocation of once again being a student but those are small vocations that a lot of people have. The thing that I am haveing a problem with is figuring out what my major vocation is ment to be. I feel christ tugging me towards some sort of youth ministry but im unable to do much with that. then there is the question of even larger vocations than that. Maybe im getting ahead of myself and am trying to look a little to far into my future.
I guess all i'm asking is that you the reader to pray for me so that things clear up a bit, and maybe a bit of advice would be nice.

All I can say is that you just really have to pray about it. But I wouldn't worry about it untill later.
Prayers Greg.

We're all having the same problem!!! Just pray and listen hard enough, and God will tell you. Just be really observant, because sometimes He shows you in really small ways! detective.gif

You're asking the right questions, Greg. I'm sure you're already asking our Lord these same questions and not just us, correct? If so you're WAY ahead of most people and in His time your vocation will be clear.

In the mean time it just kind of stinks not knowing. Stay strong and faithful and live in the Sacrament of the Moment.

"Sanctity consists in willing what happens to us by God's order. If we understood how to see in each moment some manifestation of the will of God we should find therein also all that our hearts could desire."

--Jean Pierre de Caussade (died 1751)

OLAMdad got it Greg, just keep praying, God will not forsake you or leave you to live on your own. He has a plan for You and will reveal it to you in His sweet time. The best thing you can do, also remember I'm not expert, but the best thing for me would be to trust, over all, trust. Place your trust in His sacred Heart and in His mercy, 'like a little child', as St. Therese says. And then pray, make adoration, perhaps holy hours when possible. A holy hour everyday is wonderful, however allot of us aren't able to do that. I think all of us are having your same problum, but just tell Jesus about it, ask Him about it, and most of all, Trust in Him about it. God Bless you, and of course, your in my prayers. Please pray for me too wink.gif

Also, if you are thinking that Youth Ministry is what God is calling you too, look for opportunities to work with local youth groups near your school. Usually many churches are looking for people to help in their groups or even teaching classes to high schoolers.

God bless-
