Full Version: Hermits of Jesus the Eternal Priest Nuns
I have been trying to locate a contact number for the Marionite Hermits of Jesus the Eternal Priest, a contemplative order of nuns in New Braintree, MA. The phone number I was able to locate has apparently been changed to an unpublished one. I don't know if it is still theirs since it was a nine year old source. Their website address used to be www.hjep.org but it no longer works, nor are they listed in the Worchester Diocese index anymore or on the Religious Life web link. Does anyone out there know what happened to them, if anything?
There was a post about them a few months ago, i thought there website was working then. I will try to find the post that someone posted

Thank you so much! It is almost like they disappeared! I used google and yahoo search engines. I tried find some mention of them through the Eparchy (sp?), but without any success.

That phone number doesn't work. I called and a recording came on saying that the number has been changed to an non-published number. Their website no longer works either and I cannot find them anywhere. The last reference I could find was in a Marionite Newsletter from March of 2005. Thanks anyway.

I'd try calling the diocese and inquiring. They could prob tell you what's up and how to contact them if they're still around.

I found out this evening that the Hermits of Jesus the Eternal Priest have disbanded. Each member went their own way from what I was told.
I'm sorry Visitandine. Are you interested in being a contemplative sister or a hermit? Check out Intercessors of the Lamb. They are hermits, and by the looks of things, they may be growing. There are a lot of novices.
