Fellow discerners,
I have a friend who I talk with a lot, and she told me that after work she has been going to adoration after work and has been praying about her vocation. And she has come to the realization she will serve Christ in whatever capacity she thinks she can do so best, either as a mother, single person or a consecrated religious.
So I'd like to continue to support her in her discernment and recently gave her the book, "Amata means Beloved" which she read, and thoroughly enjoyed, though if she became a sister, the contemplative life she said wasn't for her.
Anyways, I want to give her another book to read, and was wondering what would be a good book to give her?
In the Lord,
Ed

Well, I'm not too familiar with allot of discernment books, but I do think that reading many lives of the saints, reading different prayer books, building a fruitful spiritual life and relationship with God I think would most definitely help with the discernment process. Because then you learn to place your complete trust in Him and His plan for you. I just think it makes it more secure. But, I'm very sorry if I'm not of any help, I don't know of many good discerning books. I hope you can help her, God Bless!
In Christ,
