Hi y'all. I'm going crazy here on phatmass -two threads in one day!

I'm wondering think_head.gif if anyone knows if the Pauline's are Domincans and if, consequently, they follow the rule of St. Augustine?
I wonder because they teach teacher.gif and preach graduate_talk.gif via their media apostolates.

cupid.gif Have I mentioned I love Phatmass? caption_iluvu.gif Where else could I ask totally random questions about the religious life and expect a plethora of reliable answers from others, who like me love random religious facts? cupidhit.gif

Nope, no connection to Dominicans. Well, they weren't founded by former OPs, if that's what you meant. My hunch is that they follow the Rule of St. Augustine, but I'm still looking for a link for you. I'm sure you've poked around their website though.

We love random questions. clap.gif

No, there is absolutely no connection between the Dominicans and the Pauline's. I don't know what rule is their basis but they are very different in spirituality, theology etc. from Dominicans.
When I was in high school (back when they had pre-postulancy!) I visited them for a few days because I was so attracted to their apostolate. But my "roots" are monastic and I found they weren't.

They are a wonderful congregation. Very "modern" in the true sense of the word. S. James Alberione their founder wanted them to always be of the times and use any and all modern means to preach the Gospel.
God bless you!
