I understand 100% your excitement ... I can barely contain myself (and I have to since people at work don't know). I wished I could share it with the world (I kind of do here) but at work only a very small handful know.

I'm freaking out....litterally, its like Spiritual Torture, you know how your a few feet away from a well of cold icy water in the middle of the desert and you havent had any for 30 days, and each time you get closer, the well gets farther!!!!

I met Sr. Thomas Aquinas when she was visiting Sr. Jacinta in July... she seems really awesome. It was cool because I had interviewed her on the phone for my project about religious life too. I liked Sr. Jacinta's column in the OLAM sports newsletter about Sr. Thomas Aquinas beating her in a swimming match.

Anyway, I digress. But I hope you have an awesome time, Alter! I'm sure you will!

How wonderful! I am a very Mother Angelica "person" her life and mine is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much alike, litterally like you would never believe. Wish I could meet her!!!!

Hey, I'm going, which I've said before. But prayers would be most welcome. I don't know how everyone else has been feeling. I was super excited to go, but on Monday my excitement disappeared. I was on a countdown and now it's almost like I don't care. I know deep down I'm excited, but I almost feel numb right now. It's very odd. But I know that prayers for openness to the Lord would be good as some people *cough*me*cough* have problems with that!

I am litterally melting here. We are ALLLLLL in need of prayers I think. I mean 9 days before the actual retreat, 7 before I take the train to Ann Arbor. *biting nails**gut feeling**EXPLODING FOR JOY!*

You know I think I've driven by the convent ... I stayed in Ann Arbor for a month while I was attending a number of the schools that Renewal Ministries offers. I even went to Christ the King a few times, and I think I saw a couple of different groups of sisters, including the sisters I think you're visiting (their name doesn't come in mind right now).

This happened to me the last time I went and it even got worse....when we pulled up to the school I wanted to grab my sleeping bag and run in the opposite direction! It really disturbed me at the time but once we were all settled and Sr Joseph Andrew started to speak I was "all lit up again"so-to-speak.
I like to think of it as the devil doing his best to get in the way because you are going to be soooo blessed by going and thats the last thing he wants! You could look at it as a good thing....the sisters at OLAM told me that struggles along the way are a really good sign because the Lord has something wonderful in store!
Please dont worry about it too much. Pray to Mary and she will help guide you through this and we will keep the prayers up too. And if it helps I was just speaking to Sr Teresa Benedicta, the new assistant vd and they are of course praying for all of us too.

See ya Saturday...it will be nice to see another Canadian!
