Seriously, if you can't get it on TLC on tv, I'd ask for it for Christmas on DVD! One man just went to confession for the first time in 28 years!!!!!!!

WoooHoooo!!!!!!!

I'm already pining for the DVD release! I love it! And it's helping my mom (non-Catholic) understand the Bennies and the Church. YAY!

Two documentaries on the same theme (The Monastery and The Convent) were screened in Britain earlier this year. They haven't been released on DVD, which is a shame - I really want to see everything again. sad.gif What are the seekers like on the American version?

Here is the website of the Poor Clare convent that welcomed the women seekers: Crossbush Convent, Arundel. It's a beautiful website and I can't resist exhibiting the sisters!

Oh, and here you can read the seekers' stories.

I do so love that show, too. It is refreshing to watch and the Abbot seems so wise and patient... and very balanced in his way of approaching the men. It is heartening to see monks/religious shown to be normal, healthy people with a sense of humor! clap2.gif clap2.gif clap2.gif clap2.gif
