the order I'm joining is a benedictine order called the Daughters of Mary (they have a very strong Marian spirituality similar to that of Montfort) situated close to the medieval monastic town of Vadstena in Sweden, home of St. Bridgit. I am discerning with the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate. I am drawn to them because of their fourth vow of total consecration to the Immaculate, their obedience to the Holy Father, and their traditional practices (full habit, Mass in Latin, etc.). Please pray for me, as I am trying to overcome many sinful habits, and I currently must take medication for my illness. I want to become healthier, because if I do not transition off my medication, becoming a nun or a sister is unlikely for me, as my medication is very expensive.

I originally joined phatmass because of this forum, and this thread, and 2 1/2 years later I can finally say that I will be (God willing) entering postulancy August '08 with the Cistercians of Casamari, Our Lady of Fatima Monastery
I am discerning with a 1990 Carmel in the UK and with newly forming Carmel
(traditional) in the Campos Apostolic Administration. Also, I am in contact w/
the Traditional Redemptoristine Nuns in Campos. There a a number of com-
munities of Sisters of Mixed Life following the 1962 Mass & Divine Office. How-
ever, anyone interested in Campos will need to learn Brazilian Portuguese....
(traditional) in the Campos Apostolic Administration. Also, I am in contact w/
