Well, I know the guy in the upper left in this photo! He is Fr. Andrew and he used to be at St. Benedict Abbey in Still River, MA. He happens to think that Dominicans are great! P.gif

I think it's actually a re-establishment of Benedict's original monastery, not a new foundation smile.gif It's new for this century, but I met a woman who works there and she said it was a renewal of the original location.

What I gleaned from the website is that this foundation moved into old buildings that were previously owned by a different order. I don't think St. Benedict founded a monastery in his home town; after living in the Sacro Speco in Subiaco and establishing twelve small monasteries there, he moved to Monte Cassino.

However, it's super to see a Benedictine foundation in Norcia.
