I was in Geneva (Switzerland) a little over a year and half ago. Walking down the street, I was AMAZED at the prostitution. I had never seen such blatant prostitution -and I'm from a major metropolitan area! Equally astounding, is that prostitution is ILLEGAL there! My first thought was, I wish I were a nun, I would stand on this block with these girls in my habit and pray SO HARD and hopefully shame any men from coming to abuse them!
So, I've often wondered since then, are there any sisters, who specifically reach out to these women? Not just whole communities, but even as a part of their apostolate, anywhere in the world?

Didnt St. Faustina's order (and still do) reach out to and help rehabilitate prostitutes?

The Sisters of the Good Shepherd had this type of work in the past; if you go to their website, they still list working against human trafficking as one of their ministries.

Our proposed foundation, the St. Lucy Dominicans, will have a ministry to prostitutes, since St. Lucy was put into a brothel in an attempt to make her sin.
Our Good Shepherd Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus will assist in the rehabing of those the St. Lucy Dominicans bring in.
We are also seriously considering bringing back the Magdalen Sisterhood for the sake of those "fallen" who have rehabbed.

That link for the St. Lucy Dominicans is incorrect. I was really sick yesterday, and messed it up.

I don't know of a religious order that helps prostitutes, but I know of a Christian organisation that does:
JC's GirlsThe group sounds very evangelical in tone, but they do some great work. I was reading a magazine article about them a while ago and was impressed by their gentle love and commitment to their cause.
