Dear Phamily,
On November 3rd, by the laying on of hands and the invocation of the Holy Spirit, i was ordained a transitional deacon for the Diocese of Buffalo, NY. Now that seminary exams and term papers are complete, i want to take a moment and say a very sincere thanks to all who supported me in prayer, in [topic=58676]this thread[/topic], and at any other time.
So far, i have only one pic to share, at the website of our diocesan paper. Isn't that a spin dalmatic? I'll post a link to the others once my seminary gets them up on its website.
The priest in the photo is my uncle, a Franciscan TOR from Pittsburgh, who vested me in the ceremony. My grandma always wanted to see Uncle Joe and me together at the altar. She was worried she wouldn't live long enough, but she finally got her wish. Priesthood ordination is May 19th, and then she can see us concelebrate together.
Thanks again for your prayers! The weeks leading up to the ordination were full of grace, and i feel honestly different now. It must be the ontological change.
I'll be on retreat for a while, but will check in when i get back. Merry Christmas to you and your families!
