Blessings to all on the Eve of Christmas D.gif

I bring you good news from a former Phatmasser: Sr. Ida who is a postulant with Dominican Monastery in Marbury Alabama saint.gif

Sr. Ida sent me the monastery's Christmas newsletter and the good nuns are very happy with their new postulants.(Sr. Ida and Sr. Deanna) What I like the best about this newsletter is that now I know what Sr. Ida looks like.

I would like to share with you a little "Postulant Moment" from the newsletter:

" It was a peaceful Sunday and Sr. Mary Alphonsus decided to catch some rest. Out of consideration for her, a sign was posted NO BELLS PLEASE. Not long afterwards, Sister Butterfingers, the postulant who had entered only the day before, managed to somehow to knock the sign down. In her embarrasment, Sister acted swiftly, but not gracefully. While grabbing for the sign, she accidentally pulled a string which triggered the Community bell. It was a scary predicament for a timid new postulant. (Note: The above narrative is a based on a true story. The names have been changed to protect the innocent.) "

I will end with Sr. Ida's description of her time at Marbury: "Awesome to be here!!!"

Please keep her in your prayers!!!

Thanks for the post! I sent a few Christmas cards out to former phatmassers, including Ida. Glad to know she'll be there to receive it.

lol.gif lol_roll.gif lol_pound.gif biglol.gif A bit of humor from our Lord eh? He does that all the time.........last night at mass I somehow managed to "We believe in the Holy Catholic and apostolic church....etc..." part earlier in the creed then 20 seconds later I was saying it again in the right part. This has happened to me several times! So I just smiled....I love it when our Good Lord plays humor.
