The Benedictine nuns of Rüdesheim have updated their website. Take a look! There's now a French section (which wasn't there before) and some added content, particularly in the German section.

Love and prayers,

PP

Their church, building and grounds are so... pretty.

Hm. I should visit there sometimes, I think. Germany is a neighbouring country after all.

I believe that they certainly sing some of her works as part of the office on St. Hildegard's feast day, but otherwise they sing out of the Antiphonale.

VA, another friend of mine has "suggested" (ahem) that the next time I go for a visit, she'd like to go too...if she can drive then maybe we can meet you somewhere wink.gif It'd ruin the whole shortest-driving-route thing, but heck!

Love and prayers,

PP: you think just grazing past the western border while it's the eastern one you're supposed to be crossing won't be on the shortest route? How utterly strange! :D

I'll consider going if we can have second rosaries every day.

Well I'm guessing it'd be better if we had a compromise and met you at Arnhem or something! The ideal route from Het Hoge Noorden is to head straight east towards Oldenburg and then turn right (slightly simplified P.gif).

With three people it's definitely cheaper to go by car than train, although the latter is probably more comfortable.

There isn't a separate chapel in the guesthouse, and the other guestrooms are in the monastery just outside the cloister, and given that (certainly when I was there last) there are visitors wandering about the church for much of the day, I'm not sure when we'd get 1st rosary in! But there are some lovely walks nearby....

Heck.

Love and prayers,

PP
