Hey all ~
I was just wondering if anyone can tell me the
names of some small conservative Catholic
colleges/universities most of the ones I have
looked at don’t have large fine arts departments
so if you can think of any that do have large fine
arts departments it would be great smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

In addition to the qualities you've listed above, are you looking for an accredited college? A college instead of a university? A study abroad program? A particular part of the country? City vs. rural?

Magdalen College in NH has the largest fine arts department that I know of smile.gif I believe Drama and Choir are a very big part of the curriculum. smile.gif

Belmont Abbey near Charlotte, NC does not have a large arts department but they have a very well-known and solid theatre program.
Margaret Clare
I just saw an ad for Wyoming Catholic College on the back of one of the conservation Catholic magazines we have around here. I believe it's a very new college, and is very conservative. It's looks like it's in an absolutely beautiful area of the country! I like their motto, "Wisdom in God's Country" I see they have 2 Fine Arts programs, Art History & Music. But you may want to look yourself too, and maybe they will be adding programs since they are pretty new.

I did some work in undergrad admissions (shameless plug), and now I do work in graduate admissions (shameless plug #2). Some "conservative" Catholic (and otherwise) colleges are not accredited by an outside organization. This information isn't usually in the information they advertize widely... you have to be a detective an look around for it. They may be authorized by a commission of higher education, but that's not the same as accreditation.

Our Lady Seat of Wisdom- seeking
Ave Maria- not accred., not seeking
Southern Catholic- seeking
Augustine Institute- seeking
Thomas Aquinas (CA)- accredited
Magdalen College- accredited
John Paul the Great Catholic University- seeking
