I have been reading alot about the saints and I find it inspiring that even thou all they went thru, they remained true to there faith.
It reminds me that when things don't go right, I must remain true to my faith, be trusting in God, and be determind to continue forth for the love of God.
Todays saint is the conversion of Paul

You are so right. I always find it so encouraging to read about the saints and what they went through... it is easy for us to see how God lead them as we read about them, but I am sure that it was some times very difficult to maintain their sense of faith amidst so much testing. There is hope for us yet!
One of my favorite set of books about the saints really has to be Anne Ball's
Modern Saints (
and the second book). I love getting to see what they looked like! :-)

OH Thanks for starting this thread, what a beautiful idea, I Love to read and learn the lives of the saints, they are such an inspiration and their lives and stories and what they've over come and that they too are human, help me alot in my own journey to holiness! Some of those dearest to me, are The Blessed Mother, St. Teresa, St. Therese of Liseux, St. Francis, and St. Joseph!

Indeed! I think it true to say we learn and are drawn to specific spirituallities (paths to holiness) by the saints. They become special to us and we want to follow their path, we want to be like-um and love as they love. Let us thank our dear Lord for His saints to inspire and interceed for us in our journey to our home.

I agree so much!! My parish library has a set of "lives of the saints" type books. I started reading them one after another and that made me think, "yeah, I want that too!". It helped me to see the importance of seeking holiness
