The Sisters have updated their web site... their webmistress is certainly doing a good job............. little wonder that they are attracting so many vocations.!!

Even though I dont feel called there, I have always had a bit of a soft spot for the Hawthorne Dominicans, it is really good that they are getting vocations, they do such wonderful work!

The work they do is outstanding. As a nurse I know what they accomplish in their apostolate and it is truly amazing. I am not called to do that type of work, but I sure am glad that some one else is! And they have a solid community life to boot. Great new website.

Oh wow!! These sisters make me want to cry. If I ever have money I will give it to them. My grandmother died of leukemia and the nurses and hospice workers who cared for her meant so much to my family. What a truly beautiful and joyous vocation.

I love this community. If I felt called to active life, this community would be my first choice. As a nurse, I have felt called to work in a hospice enviroment. visiting them many years ago was a blessing I won't forget any time soon! I urge anyone even remotely considering them to forge ahead. By the way, not everyone who enters becomes a nurse. Most of the care given to the patients is humane, compassionate care, rather than medical. The patients just love being around the sisters, nurses or not.
