I just wrote this as a response to a certain male acquaintance of mine who was disappointed sadder.gif to find out about my discernment after our little "date" a couple days ago. (Yeah, I know that sentence doesn't make much sense...It's a long story, but the bottom line is we were misreading each other's intentions.) There are lots of people here who are better suited to give advice than me, but based on what he wrote me (which was absolutely beautiful and totally sincere), there is the potential for some good, holy friendship which makes me excited- especially since other circumstances made the situation even more difficult. So because God is sooo good, I decided to share, even though it's short like everything else I write.

QUOTE
Thank you for being so accepting of my discernment. Though the Lord "gives and takes away," He does not forget those who seek and honor His will. The decision to be open to His will can be difficult, but once that decision is made, the patience to wait for the fruition of His plan is hard to come by. To that end, I received the following advice from the community I visited- "The Lord's time is perfect, but seldom seems soon enough." How true this is! Until God's will for each of us is fully revealed, we must seek to follow Him in the small day to day decisions. Our patience, trust and diligence in these matters gives us the grace to discern our role in His masterplan. As Christ said, "Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come share your master's joy."

PS The Holy Spirit helped a little. wink.gif

A little? Geez! That is such a beautiful and inspiring little bit right there! I would be very honored to receive such a letter so eloquent and gentle as this is...
I am glad that things seem to be working along the lines of the Divine Plan... May God bless you both abundantly with many graces and blessings. Especially to know His plan and more inspired writing! happy.gif
