The Consecration to Jesus through Mary is an awesome practice, highly-recommended here on Phatmass and by many religious communities It is a thirty-three day process of preparation, where you read and meditate on either a scripture verse, excerpt from the "Imitation of Christ", or one of St. Louis' writings on Our Lady. The consecration day is generally one of Our Lady's feasts, so plan to begin thirty-three days before the feast/solemnity. It can be renewed daily or on a periodical basis of your choosing, and good supplemental material for keeping the devotion alive after the consecration is made can be found in St. Louis' many writings, but most importantly in the frequent practice of praying the Rosary (and wearing the scapular of Our Lady!).

You can buy "Total Consecration" for about three dollars at Catholic bookstores, order it online, or find it online.
