They look like the Franciscans I noticed in Cologne during WYD. There were two of them sitting in prayer in the Dom when we went through it, and they were so still that someone wondered out loud if they were statues.

I vaguely remember visiting the Franciscans here in Mtl, and I'm fairly certain that they were wearing their habits (admittedly I have no memory as to whether it was a feast day).

Were they wearing black flip flops? We went to Mass at the Dom and they were there. It was a beautiful morning Mass in english celebrated by some cardinals I think. There was much insense and I remember Latin as well. smile.gif

Thank-you for your contribution,of the Chartres to Montmartre
Pentecost pilgrimage.i was going to put other photos i have the Franciscan-Capuchins of Morgan, but, being that their priests are only ordained by Society of Saint Pius Xth Bishops, i know the moderators on here will not appreciate that at all,(though they seem to have no problems with Orthodox Pics?)
Though i have no-personal problem with Franciscans of Morgan(France), since things are being ironed out as we speak amongst that group, and i do know that the Friars are faithfull, to Christ, St Francis, and accept fully H.H. Pope Benedict XVI as...THE, Pope, they just dont accept the previous and current New Order Mass situation..they also do have a third order secular group (from canada as myself)aligned with them who speak and act schismatically about many of the legitimate problems in The Church, however.
PAX,
P.S.curiously their founder ,FR Eugene was friends, as Capuchins, with the Frati Minori Rinnovati founder Fr Tomaso, (previously picture/posted) ,both wanting to keep a 'true' Capuchin Spirit after the Council that messed up the Order, with erroneous interpretations on religious Life.. with lots of Friars leaving, yet Fr Eugene was more focused on Liturgy and became involved with Msgr. LeFevbre, after the consecrations.
the pics are cool, all the same..

Why?
Ale
To live a more evangelically entrusting they all life in God, as st.Francis of Assisi taught.
They say:

QUOTE
So then, these are the Little Friars and Sisters V.V. of Jesus and Mary, with the Spirit – as has defined a Bishop of Rome – Franciscan and Carmelite of the first times ! In fact, they themselves say with words and deeds ( ref Lk 24, 19 ): We don’t touch and don’t want money ( it not be bad to touch it, given that also the Apostles had a safe keeping ), but of that which we have, we give to you freely in the Name of the Lord ! ( ref Act 3, 6 ), given that Jesus says: “ There’s more joy in giving than there is in receiving ” ( ref Act 20, 35 ), especially when one gives – luminous and simple – spiritual food, that doesn’t perish ( ref Jn 6, 27 ) ever. Amen !
Therefore , “If you want to” ( ref Mt 19, 21..), get up and “ come ” pray with us in the Catholic Church ( ref Ep 3, 21 ), and practice with us concretely ( ref Mk 6, 7-13; Lk 8, 2-3 ..) on the streets, and you’ll see many miracles of conversion etc.. ( ref Act 3, 6-8 ), but if you desire to contact us, remember that:

We don’t have anything, no telephone, no fax, no home ( ref Mt 8, 20 ),

but for every eventuality, write to one of these addresses,

leaving your phone number and some one will contact us,

so that, later, one of us will contact you as soon as possible.

( So then, we’re actually in the Archdiocese of Cosenza-Bisignano

and in the Diocese of Lamezia Terme – CZ, Italy, Europe – Planet Earth;

but soon to be, with the Grace of God, in the never ending eternal space,

from one star to the next and on the luminous way of the Blessed Glorious Immortality !...
