Hi all

I just got back from our amazing pilgrimage to Israel and Italy. All of your prayer requests were carried with us and prayed at each and every mass.

During our journey, I saw hundreds of priests and sisters in all sorts of habits. But two were so very unusual. I'd really like to know more about them. In Rome I saw three sisters. One was in purple and with her was a younger sister in lavender. The next day, I saw a sister in a light yellow habit. These were all full habits, with veils.

any ideas who they were? I was unable to get pictures of them from the bus, darn it!

The Assumptionists wear purple. The habit varies in coverage and style and shade of purple from place to place:

On this page, the sister is wearing a more traditiona habit entirely in the lilac:

Nope, not quite. the sisters were in full length, traditional style habits, but they were solid-colored lavender. same with the yellow habit.....very traditional looking, long veil etc.

I talked with our local sisters and they thought they might be newer, cloistered orders who were outside for some reason.
