Um...haha this question especially goes for the cloister, how and what is it like to celebrate the Feast Day of Our Holy Father Saint Dominic in the convent?

Thanks!

I know nuns from another Dominican cloister, not the one Sr.. Catharine belongs to, and believe me, this feast day is celebrated to the max. There is special liturgies, the Mass is celebrated with wonderful music. Often several priests say the mass, which makes it great. Special food is served, and talking is permitted at all meals. Free time all day for the community and special programs are put on(home made plays or musical events planned and performed by the nuns). And more time to spend in quiet prayer. I believe that there was always special prayers or novena's leading up the day, so it was not just a one day event. Dominicans know how to party

when's his feast day? I'd love to do a novena to him, for he is one of my favorite saints of all time especially because I pull a lot of all-nighters.

Yup, like Alter said it's August 8th.... you can start your novena on my birthday!!! (At least, that's what I do.)

Here at my work/school, we have mass and snacks after. It's our school's president's birthday, so we have a cake for him too.

I guess if we want to be goofy, we could all wear black and white to work! P.gif

What you don't remember our entertrance date?
Well after a wonderful service, we had dinner, with some free time for chat. The deck was decorated with garland and it was just very joyous!
