http://stwalburga.blogspot.comKristina had a blog: dilexitprior.blogspot.com. Let's say that her monastic vocation was a big surprise for her!
Please pray for perseverance and her family. They aren't too happy about this.

After looking on their website, am I correct that a good many of the nuns today are German and have come over to join this Monastery rather than the motherhouse at Eichstaett?
http://www.homestead.com/~site/Scripts_Sha...g=189&b=189this is the page that gives that impression, listing apparently where each nun is from.....

Actually most of the older nuns are the original German foundresses. The Eichstaedt Abbey decided to send quite a few of their sisters to USA during World War 2 to start 3 new foundations just in case Eichstaedt didn't survive the Reich. St. Walburga's in Colorado and St. Emma's in Pennsylvania are still surviving .

Yeah for Kristina, good to see her in a postulant habit, she used to pop up to our Abbey here for Holy Mass and Retreat quite a bit last summer. Nice to see more Canadian girls in the convent.....just wish we had more authentic Monastic life (in the english parts especially), up here.I have met ALOT of Canadian men and women in awesome communities in USA and Europe...none seem to want to stick around here,
hmmmmm wonder why?? <<<sarcasm.
though not very 'trad' at all the Poor Clares up near me are very good, and the Dominican Nuns are builiding soon just down the road so...
