Good article. The Abbot of Christ in the Desert said that there might be a Latin mass once a month and an Extraordinary Form mass once a month as well. The Vocations Director has joked that he might have to stick me on the roof for a while smile.gif

I've considered him to be my abbot for a few years now smile.gif
It can still be chilly in the early morning, but that will make sure I am awake for Morning Prayer at 4AM. if the crickets are chirping or the hyenas are barking, it can be noiser there than here in my 13th floor suburban ottawa apartment. but in the fall with those noises absent, the only sound is your own breathing! YUMMY! I am looking forward to that!

Good article. I never really considered how hard it must be to enter a monastery at Christmastime.
