Hi All,

Was browsing around and found a small community of 4 Dominicans Sisters in NSW, Australia that may be interesting to some of you.

Also, I stumbled across an article about religious life in Australia by the Prioress of this community.

I pray that more vocations to this community will come and that this community will grow bigpray.gif

They are NOT Dominican Nuns but Dominican Sisters. There is a difference!

We don't have Dominican nuns in Australia but we and the friars are praying that someday it may be a reality! If some Australian vocations would come to our monasteries then it would really push it into a possibility.

When I read your headline I thought that you knew something we didnt! :-)

Wow, I am really glad that these Sisters are there! From what I have hear, Australia is suffering big time from lack of faith ( I believe thats one of the reasons they wanted to have the WYD 08 there ) I hope they are blessed with vocations!

Cool! Thanks!

May WYD2008 Australia bring them many vocations!

Ora et Labora
I was just in Nashville, and there was a girl there from Sidney Australia, because the Sisters there told her to visit the Dominicans in TN! smile.gif

I know a gal on that retreat who told me about that. I've been to visit the Nashville sisters before and we've always had one or two women visiting from Canada. But never from overseas. How cool!

When I went to the SMME retreat in May there were two girls there from Australia.

Opps...sorry, I knew that but wasn't thinking when I wrote it ... wacko.gif ...thanks for the reminder.

For the others, I'm happy to hear that there are some Aussie vocations out there!
Was beginning to think... tumbleweed.gif

It's great to hear of vocations that are called overseas.

I would love to see some having a vocation to stay here.
