That's all... I decided to send an email to the Fraternité Saint-Vincent-Ferrier (French friars who live like Dominicans with the Dominican Rite, approved by Rome, but have no official affiliation w/the Order), and I don't know what to put at the top. (In place of English "Dear Sir" or "Dear Father or Brother"). Don't guess--I can guess too--but if you know, tell me. Thank you.

Also, has anyone encountered this group in person or by hearsay?

I think you could say "Cher Abbé" if you are addressing a priest.

Both. They're a wonderful community.

You could write:

Cher père/Cher frère

ou Ches pères/Ches frères

ou Monsieur l'abbé

If you are writing for example to Fr. Louis, I'd just write:

Cher père Louis
