Hello,
There are a lot of vocation videos out for different religious communities. Do you know, did they make them themselves? Are they done by professionals? If so, who made them and how much did they charge?
I would imagine most of you won't have these details but if you do or know who I could ask, please let me know.
Thanks co much and God bless.

If you live near a university, you might try contacting their communications dpt. A lot of them produce educational movies and local access tv shows and can turn out some good looking products. They might give you a good price if it is made by students for a grade. Just a thought.

The Poor Clares of Belleville, IL had a benefactor lend them a camera and the sisters did all the taping themselves.

We did ours or I should say, I did ours using just the video feature on the camera and using Movie Maker (which is on your PC). I found that to be the best software to use. It's the most user friendly and there are forums out there that can help you.

It was A LOT of work, though, but in the end it turned out OK. It's too long (30min) though. However, it was nice to be able to shoot what I wanted and put it together as I wanted.

When we looked into having one made it was about 15K for 12 minutes!

I would really like Grassroots Films do ours but I knew that we can't afford a professional video at this point.

Good luck! It's a new adventure!

With your camera! Really! I'll have to try that.
We did check on the group that does some of the videos for our healthcare system, and found the same thing. Way too expensive for what we need.
Thank you EJames, I will do that.
But at the rate I'm going right now, it won't be soon.

If you just want something like sr Catharine post. I got kind of solution...I'm going to take community class on 'making video on your PC' the week after next week if you want I can try to do it for you. I'm sure need some projects to do for my class. All I need script & pics & music background (I can download from the internet--of course, I'll ask for copyright). I don't know how the end product will look but it'll be sure done with love & your prayers smile.gif. Don't worry...at the end if you don't use it, it won't hurt my feelings smile.gif.

My email address on your inbox if you're interested.
