Full Version: Website Of Former Sedevacantist Nuns!

Folks,

The Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Church (former
sedevacantist nuns reconciled to the Church last summer)
have completed their new website: it's great! See link
below.

From what I hear, the sisters are hoping to have the
Traditional Latin Mass available to them, as they did when
they were members of the schismatic order. Priests in
the Diocese of Spokane are just learning the "Extraordinary
Form" Mass.

Regardless, their website is off to a good start, and
their full, traditional habit is certainly beautiful and edifying.

Thank you for the update! The website is beautiful, all right. I just went through every inch of it. We met the SMMC's at an Institute for Religious Life meeting a couple of weeks ago, and were thrilled to hear their story and make their acquaintance. Prayers promised for their success and future direction in the Church and - yes - their habits are lovely!

These sisters look really beautiful and so is their spirit, i am glad they are back in the Church and i hope they do very well now. Pax Sr Marie-Therese.

Am I missing something, or was there no address/contact info?

Are there more pix than the one on the homepage. I found the page explaining Mother of the Church, and the community's journey from sedevacantism, but was there other information?

Blessings,
Gemma

So do they have currently have the TLM or the Novus Ordo on a daily basis?

great story thank you for sharing! I used to be a Traditional Catholic and let me say first hand there are many, many problems in that movement. I did learn some truth from them, but also recieved some damage, and a skewed vision of the Church. Luckily after a time of darkness in my life I found some conservative Catholics and a good teacher/theologian to lead me back.

God bless these Sisters. Its really wonderful.

Right now they have the daily N.O.

Please do not generalize in such a way! A true traditionalist is a person devoted to the Traditions of the Church and the Tridentine Latin Mass and these people are largely going to "indult" Masses. Do not group "Traditionalists" with sedevecantists or conclavists. We - traditionalists - are not in error as we adhere to what the Church has taught for centuries.

There's a difference between traditional and traditionalist. We're Catholics, not a member of an "ist" sect or anything else.

O that is disappointing. I hope that they soon are able to have the Tridentine Latin Mass as celebrated by a priest in Communion with Rome.

There were no links, no 'contact'--just a three-page website with no navigation whatsoever.

Thanks for the addy.

Blessings,

DameAgnes
they said on their site that they are in the middle of a year of prayer to determine their future - so I suspect they are not accepting applications or inquiries until they've completed that year.

But I left a prayer request with them and received a very nice note back.

If any of you could pray for Will, a student at CUA, he's had an accident and lost one finger and may lose the use of others - he's a musician.

Hi Gemma,

Sorry you are having so much trouble with this site. They have a full website up with loads of photos. I will try to get it to you when I get back to the States. At the present time I am still in the UK. In fact, my flight has been delayed another 4 hours, so I have a lot of sitting around to do! Apparently, we are both seeing something different when we click on the link.

Just to say that the link worked fine here - complete with links and photos and articles and so on.
