Linky linkyThe language nut in me wonders whether it's the monastery or St. Dominic who is new

That aside, it's super to see orders having the nouse to dare to go out, buy a big piece of land, and build a whocking big monastery on it.
Enjoy!
The community is 100 years old and has been in 3 other locations, the latest was in DC. The community has never been large, maybe 10-15 sisters. They had a new monastery in WI built in the 50's but moved to DC in the 80's to be near the Dominican House of Studies but they weren't in a very good area of the city. Now they are going to be in a very remote place. The property is beautiful. I think they hope to move in in a few months.
Right now, there are 6 professed and 1 novice.
