The first time I felt so afraid and alone/ was the day I had sought any strength on my own/ any faith that I claimed was erased or postponed/ I had broken in half and would face this alone/ but Your patience was shown/ Your grace was my own/ these mistakes that I made were replaced for You chose.../ me to follow in Your ways as I tasted the cold/ but with You I survived I’m alive with the Most.../ High now I stand tall You turned into my Tourniquet/ the worlds pass away but Your love is stayin permanent/ You guided me through nights and the trials I was burdened with/ You gave life when the world just offered encouragement/ when hungry for truth/ Your Spirit was my nourishment/ You took away my sins and You freed me from the curse of it/ I look into Your Eyes and I see what’s my purpose... it’s.../ the first time I realized the meaning of what mercy is/ standing here determined to proclaim wherever truth’s lost/ show me the stairs ‘cause I’m headed to the rooftops/ fighting for this fruit...drop everything I stood for/ won the heart of mankind tell me what that’s good for/ I persevere and look on the harvest that awaits me/ led by the Spirit for the ones who cry to break free/ fear to the wayside as boldness overtakes me/ for I’m changed by the breath that was breathed just to save me/
