Does anyone know anything about them?

That's a good idea. Thanks. I tried doing a search for them, but found nothing. I will ask my pastor if he knows them since he's an FSSP priest and they are served by the FSSP and others.
I recognize the second picture, with the nun with the candle and garland...I have it saved on my computer, actually! So I wonder if they had been talked about on VS before? I'm pretty sure I remember the name "Victims of the Sacred Heart" too--I wouldn't forget a name that beautiful! Perhaps someone else on here will come along who knows; I would love to know more about them too.
Yeah, they've been discussed before particularly in the Nuns Picture thread by EJames, and then a thread asking about communities that have the Traditional Latin Mass. He seemed to know a bit about them. They look really beautiful! God bless!

I would be happy to translate a letter for you if you wanted. My French isn't perfect, but it's a lot better than that of the Google translator.

That is very kind of you, and I will keep it in mind, but my experience with French speaking communities is that they really prefer you speak the language before they admit you. I will have to mull this one over for awhile. If I do decide to, I will take you up on that! God bless, Lisa
I say, write them and see what they say. They might have Americans, and they could help with the translations. Cant hurt to write them. If you are meant to explore them further, doors(and languages) will open
Well, I think you can write them, because that in western Europe (Italy, France; Spain, Germany, Holland...) is very common to study English language during high school years.
Maybe in that community there is one (or more than one) nun that could easily speak in English and probably answer to your letter.

I will check the Diocese of Marseille website to see if anything new is up. I am French speaking so if anyone wants translations just let me know.
also Ale is correct in that many religious,especially Superiors/directors have a decent grasp English(and Spanish?Italian at times)in fact i always met an Guestmaster/ or Novice master or Superior who spoke and mostly understood English in many places in France and Belgium, Italy less so., but they also do wish you to have at least a grasp course/experience of their language before making any extended serious visit , especially enclosed/contemplative orders, since they don't send out someone for a language Course usually, and the Monastic Silence etc..

Ps just looking at a French website i see they are also of Pontifical Rite, and somehow associated with 3rd order Dominicans?but i think that is a misprint, because the website post just before it says the same thing for the traditional 'Dominicans Of The Holy Spirit', so it must have been miss-copied?.

update P.s. --i just read that they live in a very populated area of the City (Marseille), but are so hidden/inconspicuous folks do not know they are there, the building is large and very austere on 2 hectares of property in them populated area of town(Marseille).and this article (of which only a tiny section is published online says they have 20 Sisters. and that the Superior, Mother Veronique of the Holy Face, desires a movement of Priest to be committed as associate Victims of the Sacred Heart. and that all priests will realize this role in thier priesthood of sacrifice.

Yes professionally done by a Photographer for Corbis, for a 2002 article about them, during a profession, it was in the French CDI, magazine i think originally.
