This is indeed a terrible tragedy, and Marc, from what the blog post said, was indeed a wonderful person and touched many people. I'll definately be praying. bigpray.gif

What a hero.

He may be a canonized saint one day.

this post truly touched me! What a story! It made me meditate on life and how very short it really is....and seeing as how this year I lost a dear friend whom I loved so very much...because of anger and silly hurt feelings...I really waste a lot of time...on brokenness...and ill feelings...

...one day our loved ones are here, and the next they are gone.....

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord.

Very sad.

Great story; very moving.

Although... I guess I wouldn't say a vocation snuffed out. It seems to me he lived out his vocation perfectly.

Like many others words fail me. (unlike Thom I do not have the gift to gab)

They were such beautiful men. Like Hannah said “you know mom dad and Marc met God and Mary and didn’t want to come back but thats ok because they are with God.” words from a 7 year old. who would have known.

Life is short so forget that tv show or computer and play and love your kids and tell you husband or wife of the love you have for them, because you never know when God will need them.

Thank you franscicans of the Immaculate for the honor you sent them home with.
Ave Maria!

This is what I was getting at....life is too short to waste it on anything other than love.....

May they rest in peace! God bless this family and all their friends, those who are hurting the most by this tragedy....

Absolutely. I'd say his vocation has been fulfilled. Nothing about being snuffed out or whatever.

This story really hits close to my heart, as I too will be entering the FI in August. Thank you all for your prayers for the Girard Family.

The Friars wrote about it here;
