Although I don't think the nuns are very sad about it - they've been planning the move for several years. I do hope a good buyer comes for the building.

Stupid BBC. They're not being evicted and they've been planning this for more than ten years.

It's also an old video. Mother Joanna isn't Mother Abbess anymore.

Please pray for Stanbrook. I heard a few months ago that the prospective sale had fallen through and that the community was being forced to look for a new buyer. On the other hand, it was going to be turned into a hotel and spa, so maybe it's for the best.

I think DigitalDame might know more though.

I met one of the nuns years ago and have stayed in contact. I just emailed her. I'm as certain as puellapaschalis that they are not being evicted but as for the sale falling through, I'm sure to get proper information from my friend.

The nuns are certainly not being evicted and the estate agents are hoping to exchange contracts on a sale by the end of this month (July).

Underneath the video, it lists the date as December 2005, hence the information being outdated.
