I caught this article titled "
Making Time Stand Still" on ESPN.com about an order of Hawthorne Dominicans who run a hospice next to Turner Field for cancer patients. The story focuses on their connection with the Braves, the nuns bringing patients to games, and one of the Braves coaches who's experienced a conversion of sorts since beginning to visit there every day. While it doesn't focus too much on the spiritual side, these are clearly no watered down nuns (they wear their habits to games) and it's touching to see how they give themselves completely to these people in their "final hour" on earth. I couldn't help but think of their vocation like Mary kneeling at the Cross during Jesus' final hour. Thought it would be good to share here for those looking for a little vocational inspiration.
Also, this reminds me of an article I read in
Runner's World at the dentist office last year

This one is about Daughters of Mary, Mother of Healing Love in New Hampshire who run with the kids in their group home to help motivate them and raise their self-esteem. Again, the story doesn't focus on their spirituality, but interesting to see Catholic vocations from an athletic perspective.
