Since they're coming to my town next week, I looked them up. This is a video by the IRS. Check it out (warning: this is youtube and the video contains playdough imaginary scenes of hell and deadly sins):

I think this video is heavy and the lyrics interesting for a crew that isn't overtly Christian (that I know of).

QUOTE
Let me tell you about the time the devil took me on a day out
When I got to know my way ‘round what satan called his playground
And he showed me all the evil there and people there and bleed n tear (?) but he don’t care
He likes it that he can see despair
So he started out by showing me all the cruelty that we do to ourselves
Making hell our continuity
And it’s true that he’s proud of my wicked ways
He said he wouldn’t change a thing

And capacity for violence
Without battering an eyelid
It means we’re always fighting and it keeps us all divided
So I asked him ‘where does all this violence come from?’
‘Through the jealousy and envy then you can’t all get along
It’s just impossible when the lot of you are turning to villains
The murder and killing, the permanent spilling of blood is thrilling’
And it was chilling just hearing something so heartless
Regardless that it came from the lips of the prince of darkness.

I spent a day with the devil
Saw him play, saw him fiddle with our lives
Realise all the ways that he meddles.
Spent a day with the devil
Saw him play, saw him fiddle
With out lives, I despise all the ways that he meddles.

He told me that greed was one of his greatest achievements
This man’s greatest weakness and the reason for most bereavement
It makes corruption our function we’re stuck in this dungeon
Man’s hell bent upon destruction.
There ain’t no harmony
Just armories and arguing
We are walking in fire, we’re tarnishing what we’re fathering
All the oppression means we’re causing aggression
We’re caught in a net
And all of us are forced to depression but
The devil stays smiling while we’re writhing in pain
We’re doing his job for him, so he’s rising again.
As if our purpose was to be the devil’s servants
But people selling souls is a regular occurrence.
Beelzebub drove from where he dwelt above
Watched them breed more hate and expel the love.
He told me that he’s close to that
He boasts in fact that he’s soon to retire to a cozy flat.

I spent a day with the devil
Saw him play, saw him fiddle with our lives
Realise all the ways that he meddles.
Spent a day with the devil
Saw him play, saw him fiddle
With out lives, I despise all the ways that he meddles.

sweat.gif Sorry!

So I caught up with them at their gig and I asked them about this track. They said they didn't make the video, and lyrically they said they wanted to try 'something different'. They're very good live. And very down to earth as well.

I do big up UK hip-hop, but France is where it's at for hip-hop right now. (secular that is... wink.gif )
